As we ready for a busy summer at Cabot, our team here in Inverness used the stunning May long weekend to take a collective deep breath in preparation for the final push towards opening.
June 29th is now 22 days away and preparations are moving along at a furious pace. We finished the renovation of the clubhouse which, by overtaking last year’s pro shop space, includes a greatly expanded bar for visitors to enjoy a drink after their round.
In response to our guest’s requests for more outdoor dining options, we added patios on both levels so everyone can take advantage of our stunning seaside location. The kitchen has also doubled in size to allow for both the expanded output and the addition of breakfast.
We are grateful to the super team who worked so hard over the past year to complete the project. The quality has been tremendous and guests will appreciate the effort for many years to come.
The course has also come an extraordinarily long way since last fall, with both the addition of a new hole and the other 18 rounding into form. We have been blessed with a remarkable spring and the grass has thrived, along with a stellar effort from our entire turf crew in getting us in tip top shape for opening day.
We have a few more fun things to share in the coming weeks: a sneak peek of our yardage book, first shots of the newly renovated dining options, room photos, and four video clips we filmed last fall—reflecting on the construction and development process and our beautiful community setting in Inverness on Cape Breton Island.
