Cabot was recently listed as one of the World’s Top Honeymoon Destinations according to Town & Country Magazine. Cape Breton has long been known as a top romantic destination, with Vacay.ca naming the island Canada’s #1 romantic destination in 2012 and Travel and Leisure ranking it the #1 Island in Canada in 2018. We are honoured to be included in these lists and figured we should share some of the aspects of the resort that make us a romantic destination for couples and newlyweds! From romantic strolls (with golf clubs or without), to elegant accommodations, inspired dining, dramatic sunsets, and starry night skies, every Cabot experience comes with a little extra spark!
Make it a Twosome
Perhaps overlooked by some couples, golf at Cabot is worth experiencing together! If there is a non-golfer in your twosome, there is always an option to walk the course alongside your partner, taking in the views, snapping photos, and offering words of encouragement as necessary! With each of Cabot’s 36 holes providing stunning ocean vistas, it might just be one of the most beautiful walks you ever experience together. Cabot’s practice range and greens also offer a fun space to give the sport a try. If looking for something more formal, golf lessons from one of our PGA Professionals is a great option.
With dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows in every lodge room and villa, every aspect of Cabot’s accommodation overlooks stunning golf and ocean vistas. Complete with elegant touches including walk-in marble showers, deep soaker tubs, Beltrami linens and Frette robes, Cabot's accommodations are the epitome of laid-back luxury. Whether taking in the sunset over a glass of wine, or rising with the sun and a warm cup of coffee, every moment will be all the sweeter with your significant other by your side!

The Inverness Beach
If golfing together isn’t in the cards, may we recommend strolling along the two-mile sandy beach? Located just below Cabot, the Inverness Beach boasts the warmest waters North of the Carolina’s as well as one of the best locations to take in the area’s renowned sunsets. Whether looking for sea glass along the shore, jumping in for a swim, or laying out to soak up some sun, the Inverness Beach stands up as a romantic destination in and of itself. If you’re not a fan of sand between your toes, the boardwalk offers a great happy medium. Beginning just off Inverness’ Central Avenue, the Inverness Boardwalk continues along the shore, with the beach to one side and the Cabot Links course to the other.
